Alright, before any of you get lost and confused, I will explain how the Racing Gate works. When you enter your horses they are given a number. That number is taken and randomized with the numbers of the other horses twelve times. If there are 10 horses, first place will get 10 points, second 9, third 8 and so on. These points will be stored on the scoreboard for everyone to see. Later, the points from the other two gates will be added. These races also count as individual races that may go on the show record of any horse even if he or she does not win. I have a feeling that this gate will be best desribed with an example so here it is:
Molly, Dolly, Folly, Olly, and Wolly are entered into the Triple Gate. Molly recieves the number 1 Dolly recieves the number 2 Folly recieves the number 3 Olly recieves the number 4 Wolly recieves the number 5
Twelve races are run but for the sake of time and my fingers, I will post 5 of them: Race 1: 5, 2, 1, 4, 3
Wolly won race 1, meaning he gets 5 points added to his scoreboard. Dolly won second, meaning she gets 4 points added to her score card. Molly gets 3, Olly gets 2 and Folly gets 1.
Race 2: 2, 5, 3, 4, 1 Race 3: 2, 1, 5, 3, 4 Race 4: 3, 4, 5, 1, 2 Race 5: 5, 4, 3, 1, 2
So for these five races, the scorecards would read as follows: Molly- 3 +1 + 4 + 2 + 2= 12 Dolly- 4 + 5 + 5 + 1 +1= 16 Folly- 1 + 3 + 2 + 5 + 3= 13 Olly- 2 + 2 + 1 + 4 + 4= 13 Wolly- 5 + 4 + 3 + 3 + 5= 20
Right now, Wolly is in the lead with 20 points, but this could change in the last two gates.
